Adult Program Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy
So that we may effectively manage our schedule and offer programs to as many people as we can, we ask the you give the museum at least 2 weeks’ notice before cancelling or rescheduling your tour.
To reschedule a tour, please contact the Chelsea Trembly at (312)655-1234 ext. 29 or ctrembly@hellenicmuseum.org. The Education Department will confirm in writing that your tour has been rescheduled.
Tours that are rescheduled within 2 weeks of a scheduled visit will be charged a $25 processing fee. Groups that reschedule within 24 hours of a visit will receive an invoice for the total cost of their program.
Cancellations must be received in writing by fax to (312)655-1221 Attn. Chelsea Trembly or by email to ctrembly@hellenicmuseum.org. The groups must include the name of the organization that scheduled the program and the date and time of the tour in their cancellation. The Education Department will contact the group to confirm the receipt of their cancellation.
Groups that cancel within 2 weeks of a scheduled program will be charged a $50 processing fee. Groups that cancel within 24 hours of their visit will receive an invoice for the total cost of their program. If a group does not show up on the day of their scheduled visit, it is treated as a cancellation.
If a group is more than 30 minutes late on the date of their program, the museum will call the main contact person for the organization to confirm their visit. If the group cannot be reached at 30 minutes, the tour will be cancelled. If the group has not arrived 60 minutes after the start time of their tour, regardless of the situation, it will be cancelled. In both cases the organization will receive an invoice for the total cost of their program.
The museum must be notified in advance of a change in group size. Groups that bring fewer people without notice will not receive a refund. Groups that bring more people without notice will be charged the agreed upon rate per person. Please remember that a maximum number of 50 people are allowed on group tours.
