Collections
The National Hellenic Museum’s collection spans thousands of years from 1200 BCE to today. The Museum has approximately 7,000 items in categories that are comprised of antiquities, folk and immigrant artifacts, and modern art. Its collection includes ancient Cypriot ceramics, vintage photographs, housewares, handmade textiles, traditional costumes, musical instruments, documents, immigrant artifacts, and more.
For the past two decades, the National Hellenic Museum has presented a range of exhibitions that offer a comprehensive picture of Greek communities in the United States, the artistic and literary expressions of Greeks worldwide, and Greece’s art and history. From ancient Greek civilizations to contemporary artistic movements, the National Hellenic Museum has a longstanding history of producing original exhibitions for the public to enjoy.
