It’s a Greek Christmas

Join us for a fun-filled day on Saturday, December 15.  It’s a Greek Christmas is a family event  that explores Greek Christmas traditions and will include: Kala Christouyenna (a Christmas exhibit), a regional Christopsomo (Christmas Bread) display showcasing the regional diversity of Greece, dancing lessons, arts and crafts, story time, and holiday cookies from Pan Hellenic Pastry Shop. This event is free with Museum admission.

Families can experience Greek holiday traditions first hand during these special programs:

  • 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. — Holiday Arts and Crafts that explore Greek Christmas traditions including Ancient Greek Adornments activity from the Art Institute of Chicago Family Programs, Greek Christmas cookies, and other refreshments available
  • 12:00 p.m. – 12:45 p.m. — Perfomance and dance lessons by Dionysos Dance Troupe
  • 2:00 p.m. – 2:45 p.m. — Perfomance and dance lessons by Dionysos Dance Troupe
  • 4:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. — A special appearance by Santa (St. Nicholas)
