SUNDAY TOUR AND CRAFT

Join us every Sunday at 2PM for a tour and craft for ages 6 and up. Free with Museum admission. No reservation is required.

 

LITTLE HOMER STORY HOUR

Join us every Saturday June 10 through August 19 from 11AM-12:30PM for a storytime based on a rotating Greek theme. Free with Museum admission. No reservation is required.

INDEPENDENCE DAY WEEKEND

Saturday, March 25 at 1:30PM
Celebrate Greek independence with docent-led tours of our exhibits, singing, dancing, and crafts.  Free with Museum admission.

 

NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM

Friday April 7 at 5PM to Saturday, April 8 at 10AM
For children 4-14 years old and their parents or grandparents
Find out what happens at night at the National Hellenic Museum. Join us for a sleepover and explore the Museum by flashlight and dig through Greek history and culture. Families will make crafts, hear mythological stories, learn Greek dance, watch movies, and bake classic Greek cookies.
Overnight: $35/$30 members
Friday night only: $20/$15 members

Join us for our annual May Day Springtime celebration with singing, dancing, crafts, and refreshments!

SUMMER FAMILY DAYS

Tuesdays, June 20 & July 18 from 1-5PM
For children 4-14 years old, parental supervision is required
Summer family fun includes a tour of our Aegean exhibition, family craft, Greek dance class, a hands-on cookie (Koulourakia) demonstration, treats, and refreshments.

SUMMER CAMP

10AM-2PM for 5 days (Monday-Friday)
For children ages 4-14
$175/$150 for members
AM and PM care are available for an additional charge of $8.00 per hour. AM care begins at 8AM and PM care ends at 6PM. Curbside drop off and pick up is available during camp times.

All About Ancient Greece
Dig through Ancient Greece and learn what it means to be an archaeologist in Greece by grid mapping and analyzing artifacts from what would have been ancient burial tombs. Learn basic Greek phrases and greetings, and how to say numbers in Greek. At the end of the week, design your own piece of Greek pottery to take home.

SUMMER FIELD TRIPS

Groups of six or more can schedule a guided tour and activity based on a theme. Field trips available Monday through Friday from 8:30AM-3PM in June, July, and August. Weekend times may be available, contact the Education Department for more information.

Due to Summer Camp, we will not have availability for field trips the weeks of June 12 or July 10.
